Zara Tindall paved the way for British fashion as she led the stars and racegoers at Cheltenham Festival today, stepping out alongside her husband Mike Tindall for day three of the famous racing event. The royal couple braved gusty winds and rain at the Gloucestershire racecourse after the sunshine earlier in the week quickly disappeared.

Zara, 44, embraced the drama of the racecourse in a rich, earthy palette that felt unmistakably Cheltenham. She stepped out in a deep green velvet trouser suit, its sharp tailoring softened by an olive silk blouse that brought warmth and depth to the look.

She completed the bold ensemble with a moss-green hat topped with a sculptural gold bloom which crowned the look – a striking statement that stood out against the grey skies.

The choice of green felt like a thoughtful tribute to St Patrick’s Thursday, one of the most celebrated days of the Cheltenham Festival. The colour offered a subtle nod to the strong Irish presence that has long been woven into the spirit of the racing event.

Wrapping up warm in matching leather gloves and carrying a structured clutch, the Princess Royal’s daughter once again demonstrated her signature take on polished countryside elegance.

Mike, meanwhile, complemented the aesthetic in classic race-day fashion, wearing a warm-toned checked tweed three-piece suit featuring a navy polka-dot tie and brown suede shoes.

Zara has led a stylish line-up of stars at Cheltenham today, including the “Queen of the Cotswolds” herself, Jade Holland Cooper.

The British designer, whose creations have dominated trackside style this year, opted for a dramatic navy tweed ensemble from her own label, featuring a sharply tailored belted coat layered over a sweeping full skirt that flowed elegantly as she moved through the racecourse.

A crisp shirt and deep burgundy tie added a refined, equestrian-inspired edge, while a sculptural black fascinator brought classic race-day elegance to the look. Jade completed the outfit with rich burgundy accessories, including pointed boots and a structured handbag, striking a confident balance between heritage tailoring and contemporary femininity.

Her influence has been felt across the festival, even extending to Zara’s husband Mike, who stepped out in one of her designs earlier in the week on Tuesday.

Beyond the fashion, football legends were also in attendance, with the likes of Sir Alex Ferguson, Harry Redknapp who is set to enter I’m A Celebrity All Stars, and Peter Crouch spotted enjoying the racing action.

The sporting icons joined racegoers and celebrities alike as the festival’s third day unfolded under blustery skies at the Gloucestershire racecourse.

Despite the blustery conditions, Zara, 44, and Mike looked relaxed as they arrived together and soaked up the lively atmosphere at the racecourse. The couple appeared in high spirits as they made their way through the crowds, coordinating their outfits for the occasion.

At one point, Zara and Mike were even seen sharing a sweet moment together, packing on the PDA as they posed for snaps while laughing as they made their way through the crowds.

The King’s niece, an award-winning show jumper, lives just a short distance away on Princess Anne’s Gatcombe Park estate in Gloucestershire, making Cheltenham a regular fixture in her calendar. Over the years, Zara has quietly become something of a style muse at the festival, with racegoers often taking inspiration from her polished countryside looks.

Even Carole Middleton appeared to follow her lead earlier this week when she made a surprise appearance on Ladies Day at the races alongside her husband Michael.
