If you have a Sky Q device tucked under your telly then you are getting more things to watch from today. Rewind Television is a new platform that is offering classic entertainment such as the 60’s show The Prisoner, the comedy series Drop the Dead Donkey and children’s programming including Worzel Gummidge.

Whose Line Is It Anyway, Tony Hancock and The Charmer starring Nigel Havers will also be available. Plus there are factual series coming as well such as Whicker’s World and World in Action.

It’s launching today on Sky channel 190 with those wanting to tune in simply needing to type that number into their remote control – you don’t need to retune your box or restart things.

There’s currently no word on what other devices Rewind Television is coming to but the team behind the service says it will come to more televisions in the future.

“Rewind Television is the destination channel for curated classic TV. Available on Sky from 23rd May 2024, other platforms to follow soon,” the service confirmed.

Hopefully, that means Freeview and Freesat could be next but we’ll have to wait and see as nothing has been officially confirmed.

This Sky boost comes as Freeview users have just been hit by a trio of changes including two channels being taken off the air and one new service launching.

“On 22 May 2024 some broadcasters are making important changes to their channels,” Freeview confirmed in an update posted on its website.

Freeview says that users must now retune their screens to see the changes. “You will need to retune to update your TV and keep your channels and TV Guide up to date,” Freeview confirmed.
