William and Kate ‘getting advice from friends’ for big George decision | Royal | News

Prince William and Princess Catherine are said to be confiding in close friends over a major decision regarding their eldest son. The couple are reportedly finalising their decision over which school Prince George will attend from September 2026.

Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and seven-year-old Prince Louis are all enrolled at Lambrook School in Berkshire. The young royals have been students at the school since moving to Windsor in 2022.

The prestigious school currently caters for students up until the age of 13, the age that George will mark this July.

There have been reports that William and Catherine are deciding between Eton College, which was the school that William attended, and Marlborough College, which is where Catherine was a student.

The final decision is yet to be disclosed to the public.

In the latest episode of HELLO!‘s A Right Royal Podcast, Melanie Sanderson, managing editor of The Good Schools Guide, claims that the couple are likely drawing on advice from their close circle of friends.

She shared: “I would expect that they are taking advice from friends who may have older children.”

She added: “William and Catherine have been through that system themselves, William at Eton and Catherine at Marlborough College.

“So they will be, obviously, very well-networked into a friendship group where their friends may have older children at these schools, and they will be able to make recommendations.”
