Brits are only just recovering from the hottest day of the year which left them sweltering and now temperatures are going to soar to a boiling 33C in under a week’s time. WXCHARTS weather maps of the UK have turned a scorching red for 11 UK cities on Monday, June 30, indicating that blistering temperatures are on their way.
Temperatures hit 33.2C in Charlwood, Surrey, on Saturday as the country sweltered under an amber heat-health alert. And if forecasts hold true, the UK could face another wave of intense heat on June 30, with temperatures potentially climbing back up to 33C. At Midday Kent is forecast to have the hottest temperature in the UK with the mercury soaring to a stifling 32C.
London and Colchester will not be far behind with temperatures predicted to hit 30C by 12pm.
The South East and East of England are forecast to have the warmest temperatures in the country. Meanwhile key UK cities including Manchester and Birmingham are expected to reach between 25C-26C.
The mercury looks set to only soar higher as we go into the day. By 6pm in London, Surrey and Kent will all see temperatures climb to a balmy 33C.
Norwich and Luton will closely follow with 32C predicted. The entirety of the south east and east of England will be covered by a wall of 30C-plus heat.
The West Midlands will also see scorching temperatures of 28C, covering major cities including Worcester and Birmingham.
Bristol and Exeter in southwest England will see highs of 26C.

Separately, the Met Office‘s weather outlook for this period states that “whilst some rain or showers will be possible across the south and east, here longer drier spells are more likely, under the influence of higher pressure”.
There is also the chance of “some occasional very warm, perhaps locally hot weather, as south or southwesterly winds allow brief bursts of hotter air to encroach from the continent, but probably fairly short-lived and perhaps also accompanied by a few thunderstorms at times”.
