Deals are beginning to be done across the Premier League a week into the January transfer window. Clubs are slowly becoming more active now that the hectic festive period is almost over.

Manchester City are off to a quick start in the market. Antoine Semenyo is due to undergo a medical before moving from Bournemouth, as there is a £65million release clause in his contract.

Marc Guehi is also again the subject of interest from several clubs after entering the last six months of his deal at Crystal Palace. Palace are one of the few teams to make a significant addition already, signing Brennan Johnson from Tottenham Hotspur for a club-record fee.

Their rivals Brighton & Hove Albion have also brought Pascal Gross back to the club, 18 months after the Germany international joined Borussia Dortmund. West Ham United, meanwhile, are the big spenders so far, signing strikers Pablo Felipe and Taty Castellanos for the best part of £50million, who they hope will fire them out of the relegation zone.
