With summer just around the corner, the UK’s best seaside towns have been revealed – and perhaps surprisingly, the winner isn’t in Cornwall or Devon. VegasSlotsOnline analysed 29 of the country’s most popular seaside spots, looking at everything from average temperatures and beach reviews to Airbnb costs and the number of restaurants, bars, and activities.
They revealed a definitive ranking of the UK’s ten best beach towns for 2025, with Brighton coming out on top. According to their analysis, it boasts the most restaurants (907), cafes (112), and activities (674) compared to other resorts. As well as the iconic Brighton Pier, the city also boasts a wealth of shopping options along its charming lanes and lively nightlife.
Swansea came in second with the highest-rated beach, County Hall Beach, which received a perfect five-star average review score.
This historic city offers a great foodie scene with 526 restaurants and 59 cafes, as well as 328 activities, including the National Waterfront Museum and The Glynn Vivian Art Gallery.
Bournemouth rounded off the top three, with summer temperatures averaging 16.7C, and an Airbnb costing £790 for one week.
Blackpool was crowned as the most affordable seaside resort with the average cost of an Airbnb for a week at £680, followed by Swansea, with an Airbnb costing £732 for one week.
For sunseekers, research revealed seventh place Southend-on-Sea was the warmest town in the summer months, with an average of 17.1C. The town also scored high for its number of restaurants, which stood at 581 according to the study.
Eighth and ninth placed Eastbourne and Worthing had almost the same number of restaurants, just under 300, and both were similarly priced at around £825 for a week’s average Airbnb.
Folkestone rounded off the ranking in tenth place, with average temperatures of 16.6C, and a respectable four out of five stars for its beaches.
