The pretty UK village that’s ‘just like something from a storybook’ | Travel News | Travel

If you’re looking for a stunning destination to visit in the UK this autumn, you won’t want to miss out on this pretty village.

Visitors have compared it to a fairytale or a storybook due to its picturesque setting.

Tobermory on the Isle of Mull has become a popular place for tourists to visit.

Coffee The Canvas says: “With its colourful waterfront cottages, Tobermory looks like a children’s storybook drawing.

“Located on the Isle of Mull in Scotland’s Inner Hebrides, this seaside village is quiet, whimsical, and wildly photogenic.”

It says the village has the fairytale-like feel due to its rainbow buildings, sea breeze, and mountain backdrops.

While you’re there, you should visit the Tobermory Lighthouse which is a scenic spot that offers stunning views of the coast.

One person who visited on Tripadvisor said: “Brilliant walk through nature away from the hustle and bustle of Tobermory’s Main Street.

“Whilst the lighthouse itself is closed, the area is beautiful, there’s a viewing point just before you reach the peninsula, too. Highly recommended.”

Another penned: “Spectacular walk. Best thing in Tobermory. Walked in sparkling weather and went back again the next morning. Easy 2 kilometres each way. You can rent the log house keepers home. Remote bliss.

One other spot worth visiting is Tobermory Bay which is home to bright colourful houses and a range of local shops.

Visitors have called this part of the village “one of the finest places in the UK”.

In autumn and winter, there are less tourists in the area meaning you can enjoy the quiet and beautiful nature of the area without the crowds.

Even in colder conditions, a trip to Tobermory will make you feel refreshed and invigorating.

If you’re looking for a scenic part of the UK to enjoy a staycation or weekend away, this could be the perfect place for you.
