The 6 NatWest bank branches closing this December – full list | Personal Finance | Finance

NatWest Bank is set to permanently shut down six of its branches this month as part of the high-street banks’ mass closure that has taken place throughout the year. The major bank plans to close 105 branches by the end of 2025, as a result of a shift in consumer habits. According to NatWest, more than 80% of its customers use digital banking methods, with the majority of new accounts being opened online.

As a result, the high street bank says the closures are a response to the  “industry-wide shift towards digital services”. However, it will continue to operate, supporting those who may need additional assistance when their local branch closes.

NatWest said: “Like any business, we strive to meet our customers’ changing needs and expectations and we’ve been responding to the industry-wide shift towards digital services by investing to broaden what customers can do themselves and to offer them greater personalisation.

“We recognise that some people still need help to adapt, particularly our vulnerable customers. Our customer support specialists proactively contact branch users who we know may need additional support when a branch closes and, where there’s a need, we install community pop-ups to help customers become familiar with alternative banking services.”

The bank offers alternative methods for those who have been impacted by a local closure but prefer in-branch banking. Community Pop-up sites are open for up to 12 weeks following changes to the branch network, while Mobile Branches visit specific locations up to five days a week throughout the year to assist those who find it difficult to use banking services.

NatWest also have Banking Hubs that allow customers to use basic services including making deposits and withdrawals, balance enquiries and paying utility bills.

You can find closure guides for each of the branches on NatWest’s website, and the list of branches closing this month is below:
