Tesco launches new Clubcard points deal for every £1 spent in December | Personal Finance | Finance
Tesco has launched a new “win-win” boost to its Clubcard scheme for December, offering members double points on gift card purchases.
Under the offer, shoppers will collect two points for every £1 spent on gift cards, compared with the usual one point. The supermarket giant said the extra points can offer more value when exchanged through its Clubcard Reward Partners, which can be worth up to 4% back on your spend. Ban Mahsoub, partnerships director at Tesco Insurance and Money Services, said: “We all know the challenge of finding the perfect Christmas gift. With two points for every £1 spent on gift cards, you can be confident you’re giving something they’ll love, and you’ll get a little something back for yourself, too. It’s a win-win.”
Tesco stocks a wide range of third-party gift cards, covering retailers, restaurants and entertainment brands.
The supermarket pointed to its own research that gift cards remain a popular choice at Christmas, with 58% of respondents saying they love receiving them.
Meanwhile, 43% of shoppers admit to feeling the pressure to find the perfect present.
The double-points promotion runs for the entire month of December (1 to 31) and applies to all third-party gift cards purchased in Tesco stores.
The offer is available to the more than 24 million Clubcard customers across the UK.
