A horror fire has erupted at the Jannat market in Tehran.  Emergency crews converged on the Janat Abad Shomali district of Tehran after reports of an incident there.

The development unfolded as Donald Trump announced he was dispatching a large naval force toward Iran, accusing Tehran of dragging its feet on reaching a nuclear agreement. Meanwhile, Iran’s president said he had directed the foreign minister to engage in “fair and balanced negotiations” with the United States — the clearest indication so far that Tehran is seeking a path back to dialogue, even as tensions remain elevated following last month’s violent suppression of nationwide protests.

A statement from emergency services in the Iranian capital read: “Firefighters are conducting fire control operations in this market in the western region of Tehran from several directions.

It added: “So far, accurate information on the number of injuries or possible deaths in this incident is not available and additional news will be announced later.”
