Sarah Ferguson is reportedly planning a remarkable return to public life, sources suggest.

The former duchess, 66, has apparently confided in friends: “I need to get back to work. I need money” as she seeks to rebuild her profile following the publication of the Jeffrey Epstein documents.

Sources indicate Ms Ferguson is keeping a low profile whilst she “gets her head together”, having recently enjoyed several days with companions in the French Alps before travelling onwards to the United Arab Emirates.

She has also been spending time with her younger daughter, Princess Eugenie, who has been in the area for professional commitments, attending an art fair in Doha, Qatar. Nevertheless, it’s understood Ms Ferguson is now preparing to make her return, and is apparently even searching for a new PR team to handle her representation.

Until lately, the mother of two had been residing with her former spouse, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, from whom she divorced in 1996. He, however, departed Royal Lodge last week, finally confirming his long-anticipated separation from Ms Ferguson.

And Ms Ferguson, who had been a television presenter with frequent appearances on This Morning and Loose Women until late last year, is now anticipated to pursue a reinvention independent of her ex-husband.

She has allegedly told a friend: “When I come back I am going to have to put some distance between myself and Andrew.”

As per the Daily Mail, Ms Ferguson intends to stay “in the Windsor area”, where she will either purchase or lease her own residence.

However, she faces hurdles in securing new employment, having been embroiled in the Epstein scandal herself.

Regarding her return to the UK, another source informed the publication: “I don’t know whether Sarah is just deluded or desperate. She is 66 and has no home and no discernible income. The public is disgusted by what they have read. And how would she pay a new PR team to rescue her reputation?”

Email exchanges between the former duchess and Epstein reveal her persistently pursuing him for funds to settle her debts, as well as practical assistance over an extended period.

These emails provide proof that she maintained close ties with him after his release from prison for sex crimes against minors, even arranging for her two daughters, Princess Beatrice and Eugenie, to dine with him five days post his release.

She also privately tendered a grovelling apology to Epstein for publicly condemning him, asserting she only did so to safeguard her career as a children’s author. The ex-duchess conveyed to him that he had been a “steadfast, generous and supreme friend.”
