Samsung’s latest Galaxy S25 suddenly drops in price – it’s never been cheaper
Samsung has just released the Galaxy S26 series, but with a starting price of £879, it’s more expensive to pick up the top of the line Samsung phone than ever before. Thankfully the tech giant has many more phones in its range that bring you most of the form and function for much less, especially when they are on sale.
That’s the case right now with the Galaxy S25 FE, the newest and last device released under the S25 branding. Its RRP is £649, but Amazon is listing a “limited time deal” on the handset for £499, knocking £150 off and making it far more affordable than any of the new S26 models.
Amazon price tracker Camelcamelcamel shows this is the cheapest the phone has ever sold for, equal to its Black Friday 2025 price.
Released only six months ago in September 2025, the S25 FE (which stands for ‘fan edition’) is for all intents and purposes a regular S25 with a few small changes that most phone buyers won’t know or care about.
The S25 FE has a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen, which means it’s a similar size to the S25 Plus, a phone that costs a cool £999 – double the price of the S25 FE on offer.
For £499 you’re getting a phone with all the specs you could want – 120Hz LTPO screen covered in strong Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ to help prevent those smashes and scratches, 128GB storage with 8GB RAM, triple cameras with a 50MP main sensor, full IP69 dust and water resistance, a large 4,900mAh battery, wireless charging, and Android 16 with the amazing promise of seven years of Android and security updates.
That means this £499 phone will keep ticking on safe software until September 2032, longevity you won’t find on most rival Android phones.
Amazon is also selling the phone at the discounted rate in black, icy blue, navy and white, so you can pick the one that best suits your vibe.
Compared to the S25 and S25 Plus, all you’re really losing out on is the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, with the S25 FE instead opting for Samsung’s own Exynos 2400. But for all but the most demanding of all-day mobile gamers, this is still a powerful processor that should serve you well for several years.
The phone is also stuffed to the gills with most of the useful AI smarts from Samsung and Google that you can use on pricier phones, to help you edit photos, create images, reword emails and more.
If you’re an Android fan and think it’s time for an upgrade, the Galaxy S25 FE for £499 is a very tempting deal, especially when the tangible differences between it and the £879 S26 are extremely minimal unless you really must have the best specs possible in a phone.
