Vladimir Putin’s acolytes have called on the Russian leader to exploit chaos in the West over the Epstein files to launch a nuclear attack. Speaking on state TV, Putin’s ideologues claimed that the Epstein revelations dominating the news in London and Washington showed the moral decay of rulers in the US and Europe.
They argued that Russia should forget seeking to do deals with Donald Trump and instead seize a “historic opportunity” to widen its war with Ukraine by using nuclear weapons against Putin’s enemies in a counterattack. Extremist TV propagandist Vladimir Solovyov admitted he was a “nuclear maniac”, urging a strike with tactical weapons. The Russian dictator’s prominent attack dog, Alexander Dugin, claimed: “The West has begun to collapse before our very eyes because of Epstein’s files.

“Russia and China now have a historic opportunity to become beneficiaries of the total collapse of the entire Western system….
“Now is the time for a counterattack.
“We have sacrificed too many pieces — Syria, Hezbollah, Venezuela, [Libya] and we have almost lost Iran.
“Trump is not going to take us into account, although he will probably collapse soon. Until next time.”
He demanded: “We must prepare immediately for nuclear war and not drag our feet.”
They also called on Russia to offer unconditional support to beleaguered Iran in the face of American firepower in the region.

Dugin argued that when dealing with Trump, who is seeking a peace deal in Ukraine, Putin must “stop promising anything to anyone and agreeing on anything” and realise the West is “pure evil”.
He claimed: “The Epstein files show how ‘those who rule the West rape and eat children and worship Satan….
“To begin with, we must protect Iran at ANY COST.
“It is the last bastion, then it’s us.
“Trump, at best, sees us as obedient vassals who can be pushed around and submissive pawns in the war with China….”
Solovyov told viewers on his nightly Kremlin-funded TV propaganda show screened across 11 Russian time zones: “We need to strike with tactical nuclear weapons….
“As you know, I’m a supporter of the nuclear weapons maniacs club.”
It is not the first time that Dugin and Solovyov have urged Putin to consider nuclear strikes on NATO members. Any attack on a NATO member, whether nuclear or otherwise, would trigger an obligation on member states to respond collectively.
Overnight, a Russian airstrike on a residential area in eastern Ukraine killed one person and wounded two, officials said on Sunday.
The attack came after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the US has given Ukraine and Russia a June deadline to reach a peace deal.
The strike on the city of Kramatorsk in Ukraine’s Donetsk region caused a fire in a nine-story apartment block, according to Ukraine’s State Emergency Service.
