‘Real reason’ Prince William and Prince Harry are yet to reconcile as rift continues | Royal | News

This may not come as a shock, especially as William and Harry are not believed to have been on good terms for a number of years now. In fact, it is believed the brothers have not been on talking terms since Harry released his bombshell memoir Spare in 2023. While Harry has since shown a desire to reconcile with his older brother The Prince of Wales, Prince William does not seem to feel the same way.

This is because there is “no trust between the brothers”, according to royal author Robert Jobson, who believes this is the reason why the siblings are yet to reconcile.

Robert Jobson told HELLO!: “Right now, William is focused on duty, Harry on grievance.

“William is building a future and he no longer needs Harry’s drama. You can’t bridge that gap when one brother is moving forward and the other won’t let go of the past and the bitterness.

“Reconciliation needs compromise, but it mostly needs trust, and there is no trust between the brothers.”

Although Harry no longer lives in the UK, and hasn’t since quitting royal life in 2020, he does make various trips across the pond back to the UK.

However, this does not stop Harry from meeting with their father King Charles. Although Harry, 41, didn’t see his father last week, he did meet up with the monarch during his September visit to the UK.

This was the first time the father and son had seen each other since February 2024. It is believed their September meeting paved the start of a reconciliation between the King and Harry, who saw their relationship face a tricky period last year.
