PS Plus adds GTA 5 AGAIN and not all fans are happy | Gaming | Entertainment
PlayStation has unveiled its latest PS Plus game catalogue updates, with nine new games set to join the service. However, not all subscribers are thrilled about Grand Theft Auto 5 returning via the upcoming batch of games.
PS Plus Premium and Extra subscribers will have another opportunity to play GTA 5. But some gamers are disappointed with this news, especially following the recent announcement of Grand Theft Auto 6‘s latest delay. But first, here’s a look at what’s joining GTA 5 in the PS Plus Extra and Premium line-up for November.
PS Plus November catalog update
- Tomb Raider: Anniversary (Premium only – PS5, PS4)
- Pacific Drive (PS5)
- Still Wakes the Deep (PS5)
- Insurgency: Sandstorm (PS5, PS4)
- Thank Goodness You’re Here! (PS5, PS4)
- The Talos Principle 2 (PS5)
- Monster Jam Showdown (PS5, PS4)
- MotoGP 25 (PS5 PS4)
PlayStation announced the news in a blog post: “This month, dive into the criminal underworld of Los Santos in Grand Theft Auto V, take a ride through a surreal and wild Pacific Northwest in Pacific Drive, or struggle for survival on an unstable oil rig in Still Wakes the Deep.
“All these titles and more are available in November’s PlayStation Plus Game Catalog lineup. Meanwhile, Tomb Raider: Anniversary brings Lara’s original adventure to PlayStation Plus Premium.”
Adding insult to injury for GTA fans, all of the games – including GTA 5 – will be available from November 18. This is a full year ahead of GTA 6’s most recent projected release date.
GTA 5 is the star of the new PS Plus line-up, but fans are disgruntled that it has been repeatedly added and removed from the service since its launch in 2013.
One user on X, previously known as Twitter, questioned: “Is GTAV just going to recycle in and out now then until the end of time?” Another expressed their frustration by saying: “I feel scammed every month.”
A third gamer vented: “We’re paying for Premium to constantly add and remove the same game? Leave it be there and every month add something new, for a change!”.
However, not all the feedback was negative. Some players were thrilled about the other games added to PS Plus.
Another player commented: “We’ve had GTA 5 before BUT not a bad lineup tbh!” A fifth user recommended: “Play Still Wakes the Deep if you haven’t already, you will not be disappointed.”
