Prince Harry offers his LA home as a hideout for Beatrice and Eugenie | Royal | News

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have offered their Montecito mansion to Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie as a bolthole if they want some respite from the Epstein scandal. The York sisters have kept a relatively low profile since new revelations engulfed their parents, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson, and the Sussexes are understood to have offered them some support.

A source told the Mail on Sunday: “Harry has communicated with the girls, saying something along the lines of, ‘He knows what it’s like to be at the wrong end of the institution’. He’s said there’s an open invite, especially for Beatrice, if she ever wants one.”

The Duke of Sussex has remained close to his cousin Beatrice since he and Meghan decided to step down as senior working royals in 2020. The 37-year-old, who has two young daughters, is understood to have taken her parents’ fall from grace particularly hard.

Andrew was arrested on February 19, his 66th birthday, on suspicion of misconduct in public office. He has not publicly commented on the recent allegations but has vehemently denied previous allegations made against him.

Though the former Duke of York was formally stripped of his princely title and ousted from his lavish home on the Windsor Estate, he remains eighth in line to the throne. As a result of his recent arrest and the string of allegations made against him in the Epstein files, the Government is considering legislative action to remove him from the line of succession.

There have also been calls for his daughters, who are ninth and 12th in line to the throne respectively, to be ousted as well. They also appear in several of the Epstein files, though there is no implication of wrongdoing.

Beatrice and Eugenie have been banned from joining the Royal Family at public events such as Royal Ascot this summer, the publication reports.
