Police release sad Liverpool parade crash update as 9-year-old injured | UK | News
Police have revealed the youngest person injured in the Liverpool parade crash was just nine-years-old. Merseyside Police also confirmed that 79 people were hurt in Monday’s incident when a car ploughed into crowds on Water Street in the city centre. The youngest victim was just nine, while the oldest was 78. All of those injured are understood to be British.
Seven people remain in hospital in a stable condition. Officers say the number of injuries has risen as more people came forward in the days following the incident. A 53-year-old man from West Derby, arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, dangerous driving and driving while unfit through drugs, remains in police custody.
