Dozens of images have emerged capturing the horror following the suicide bombing at a mosque in Islamabad, Pakistan. The pictures document scenes of injured people being rushed to hospital after the explosion took place this morning as worshippers were taking part in morning prayer. Dozens of people have been killed in what the Islamabad police said to have been an attack currently under investigation. 169 victims have reportedly been injured.
The attack came as Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was in Islamabad on an official two-day visit and attending an event alongside Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The engagement in the capital took place several miles from the location of the blast.
