London celebrated the start of 2026 in spectacular style with an incredible New Year’s Eve fireworks display on the bank of the River Thames.
Around 100,000 people braved freezing weather to watch the amazing show – Europe’s largest with 12,00 fireworks and lasers.
Bundled up in scalves and beanies, people rejoiced as Big Ben’s bongs ushered in 2026, followed by booms of fireworks as the famous Lonon Eye was lit with colours.
A mashup of seasoned hits and 2025 anthems accompanied the display, celebrated under the theme of “togetherness”.
Included in the production were flag from across the globe displayed on the famous ferris wheel, showing the cultural diversity of England’s capital.
The spectaular, which lasted about 12 minutes, included New Year’s Eve classic, “Auld Lang Syne”.
Several other cities around the world have already celebrated the beginning of 2026 with spectacular displays.
