Most wanted Apple Watch dips to its cheapest price ever
If you have an iPhone in your pocket you may well have an Apple Watch strapped to your wrist. If it is feeling a little long in the tooth – or you’re looking to get your first Apple wearable – now could be a good time as the latest premium version is on sale.
Right now you can get the 42mm Apple Watch Series 11 for £299, the lowest price this model has ever sold for since its launch in September 2025. That’s a 19 percent, £70 saving on the £369 RRP.
This deal is available from Amazon, where it has proven so popular it is the number one best selling smartwatch on the whole of Amazon. If you prefer to shop elsewhere, the £299 deal is also available from UK retailers Currys and Argos.
I have tried and tested the Series 11 extensively since its release and have found it an excellent sweet spot between the Apple Watch SE 3 and the much more expensive Apple Watch Ultra 2.
It builds on the excellent upgrades the Series 10 brought to the line up in 2024 with a slimmer design, but improves it even more with a promise of 24 hours of battery life, up from the Series 10’s 18 hour rating.
I was sceptical but found this to be accurate, and the Series 11 lasts noticeably longer than older Apple Watch models.
The Series 11 sits in the middle of Apple’s Watch range and offers a very premium build and comfortable slim design. It’s the thinnest Apple Watch, and with the additional battery life, it’s more realistic that you could wear it comfortably at night to track your sleep.
The sensors that sit against your wrist include two heart rate sensors and wrist temperature sensor that combine to paint an even more accurate picture of your daily health. With built-in GPS I find to be very accurate, this is a great Apple Watch for general health and also more serious run and sports tracking.
It’s all viewed through a lovely Ion-X glass display that Apple claims is the toughest in the industry and twice as scratch resistant as the glass on the Series 10. On the 42mm version that costs £299, you get a 1.77-inch OLED that has always-on tech that can scale down to an energy efficient 1Hz. This keeps the time displayed but uses the least amount of power possible, so you don’t have to have a blank black screen.
If that weren’t enough, Series 11 can also provide hypertension notifications if the device senses you might have high blood pressure.
Of course, you also get all the benefits you’d associate with an Apple Watch such as third party apps, from Spotify to AllTrails, Starbucks to Strava, Nike Run Club to WhatsApp, via Todoist and even your humble Tesco Clubcard, having access to these apps on your wrist is very handy at times. Add to that easy contactless payments and reminders, and you might find you need your phone less and less throughout the day,
It’s not clear how long this excellent £70 discount on the Apple Watch Series 11 will last, but it’s certainly one to consider.
