Meghan Markle wants to be ‘a Queen’ as she fails to replicate Hollywood elite | Royal | News
Meghan Markle’s brand ‘As Ever’ is one that has taken inspiration from a famous actress. The duchess’s new lifestyle and homemaking brand is dedicated to beautifully-crafted essentials and it’s available to buy through her online store. Her brand sells farmhouse style products and an expansion is being planned, reports The Independent.
She has been incredibly successful in selling other brand’s items and has taken to launching her own brand. Meghan has reportedly taken inspiration from Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop brand. An inside source says: “There was the thought that she could dominate any space she decided to get into. But she doesn’t want to be accessible.”
Markle, it seems, wants to be a ‘Montecito queen’, the person continued, “but isn’t willing to commit in the way Gwyneth was—in the sense where Gwyneth was like, ‘I don’t care if you’re poor and can’t afford this. Get in or get out,” reports Puck.
After much ongoing speculation, Meghan Markle and Gwyneth Paltrow have shut down rumours of a feud in the best possible way, reports The Mirror.
The two women, who both live in Montecito, teamed up to film a tongue-in-cheek Instagram video which begins with Gwyneth responding to a question asked by a fan that said: “Are you comprehending the Meghan Markle beef that social media says you two have?”
“I genuinely do not understand this at all, whatsoever,” the actress says, before panning the camera to Meghan, and asking: “Do you understand this?”
Meghan then shrugs her shoulders before the pair break out into laughter.
As for Meghan’s brand, one key investor is reportedly behind everything in Meghan Markle‘s brand, it has been claimed.
They revealed her lifestyle brand which sells farmhouse products, is not only funded by Netflix, but the streaming company is the reason the brand exists.
Ted Sarandos previously described Netflix as a “passive partner in Meghan’s company”, but one insider revealed everything is “completely manufactured and handled by Netflix“, and likened it to a licensing agreement.
The Duchess reportedly outsourced the whole brand to Netflix, they claimed. They told media outlet Puck: “She’s not building a lifestyle empire. There’s no one that works for the brand. She’s outsourced the entire brand to Netflix. They send samples and she picks what she likes.”
Meghan Markle also released With Love, Meghan on Netflix in which she shares her home tips. The show has a similar theme to her brand and features ways to upgrade your home and your cooking.
