Meghan Markle trying to prove one thing with new brand launch – expert | Royal | News


Meghan Markle is trying to prove that she “can still stand on her own two feet” with the launch of her new brand, according to former royal butler Grant Harrold.

Speaking on behalf of JeffBet, Mr Harrold claims that, with the launch of As Ever, Meghan is “very much referring to her career before joining the Royal Family”.

He added: “It is very much signifying to my mind that she will be going back to doing what she was before meeting Harry, from a business point of view.

“I doubt Harry will be massively involved, it comes across as very much her project and business.”

Sharing what he believes she is trying to prove with the launch, he added: “I think she may be trying to show that she can still stand on her own two feet as a businesswoman like she used to.”

Meghan Markle took to Instagram to share the name and launch date of her lifestyle brand this week. The launch will coincide with her new eight-part Netflix series, With Love, Meghan – wich will air on March 4.

On Tuesday, the royal shared a video – which featured a brief appearance of Harry behind-the-scenes – revealing the new name.

The brand was previously going to be named ‘American Riviera Orchard’, however, Meghan, herself, revealed that the change was done before she felt the former one would be limiting.

The mother-of-two said: “Last year, I thought you know what, American Riviera, that sounds like such a great name, it’s my neighbourhood [and] its a name for Santa Barbara. But it limited me to things that were just manufactured and grown in this area.”

As well as a new Instagram account for As Ever, Meghan also revealed a brand-new website, asever.com. On the homepage, Meghan also surprised fans with a new picture of her daughter, three-year-old Princess Lilibet.
