It’s a big week for Marvel Rivals players as Season 6 prepares to launch, introducing a host of new heroes — including one very familiar face. The update promises a boatload of content for the free-to-play title, along with the usual meta shake-ups to keep gamers on their toes.

Marvel Rivals Season 6 release date and time

Players won’t have to wait long for Season 6 of Marvel Rivals, which goes live on Thursday, January 16.

According to a tweet from developer NetEase, the game will be taken offline for approximately two hours at 9am GMT UK time. This means the game should be playable by 11am GMT UK time at the latest. That’s 3am PDT / 6am EDT in the US, and 12pm CET for European players.

“Maintenance will begin on January 16 at 9am UTC and is expected to take around two hours,” a post on X reads. “Servers will be offline during this period, and the game will be inaccessible. Return times may vary, so stay tuned for updates.”

Marvel Rivals Season 6 new content

When it comes to new heroes, Deadpool and Elsa Bloodstone are next up. Trailers have teased Deadpool’s quirky personality, explicit humour and eccentric style.

His best role remains to be seen, but all signs point to Duelist, and he’ll be available from day one on January 16. Elsa, on the other hand, arrives later as part of a mid-season update.

Season 6, dubbed ‘Night at the Museum’ is also expected to introduce a new map, potentially hinting at battles taking place in a museum-like setting.
