Marcus Rashford banks nearly £9m as Man Utd make decision on Barcelona transfer | Football | Sport
Marcus Rashford has reportedly withdrawn almost £9million from his business ventures as speculation mounts that his loan spell at Barcelona could become permanent this summer. The striker moved to the Catalan giants on a temporary basis until the end of the season, having spent the second half of last term with Aston Villa. Rashford has found the net 10 times and provided 13 assists in 34 appearances at the Nou Camp, rediscovering his form after being frozen out at Old Trafford by Ruben Amorim.
The Sun have now revealed details of Rashford’s financial activities, with £8.5m extracted in expectation of his permanent transfer to Spain.
Roughly £7.5m has been drawn from his image rights company, MUCS Enterprises, which currently holds £12.6m in assets. Rashford is reported to have removed nearly £1m in cash from the enterprise during the past year.
He currently earns approximately £350,000 per week at United, with Spanish media reports indicating a modest salary reduction will prove crucial in securing a permanent transfer to Barcelona. However, worries have surfaced this week following his latest fitness problem.
Thankfully, having been absent for the Copa del Rey semi-final defeat against Atletico Madrid and the league loss to Girona, the striker is nearing complete fitness before their La Liga encounter with Levante.
