Man, 22, dies after air ambulance called to horror van crash | UK | News


The Metropolitan Police responded to a road traffic accident involving a van and a pedestrian on Turkey Street in Enfield at 6.18am on Friday, February 6.

The police, along with the London Ambulance Service and the London Air Ambulance, were present at the incident site, The Mirror reports.

The young man received treatment at the scene before being transported to hospital where he sadly passed away.

The Met confirmed that the deceased’s next of kin have been notified and are receiving support from specialist officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit.

“Our thoughts are with those affected by this incident and our investigation remains ongoing,” a spokesperson for the force stated.

The driver remained at the scene and has been cooperating with the police investigation. No arrests have been made and enquiries continue.

“We continue to review all footage as part of our enquiries and are now asking the public to come forward with any relevant information that could assist us,” the spokesperson added.
