Look Fantastic’s summer beauty box is just £45

Beauty boxes and bags are a great way to try out a curated selection of products for a cut of the usual price, and lately I’ve been loving summer edits from brands such as Boots. In the summer months, as a self-proclaimed serial overpacker, I find having a selection of mini toiletries is a great way to fit everything I need into my makeup bag without going overboard.

The latest beauty box to catch my attention is the Look Fantastic Summer Heroes Edit, which the brand says contains more than £150 worth of products (including four full-sized and two travel-sized products) for just £45. These include a mixture of hair products, sun-safe skincare and makeup products to give skin a glowing, dewy look.

Previous shoppers have rated the box five out of five stars, and there are no negative reviews yet. One said, “Such a lovely beauty box, great value for money.”

A second added: “Best value edit ever. A variety of spectacular products.”

When you add it up, you’re saving over £100, which, let’s face it, is exactly the kind of guilt-free spending I can get behind when my summer shopping list is already racking up. Perhaps the only downside for some shoppers could be that only four of the products are full-size (though the small items are certainly helpful with faced with hand luggage limits).

One of the first products to catch my eye in the box is the ESPA Optimal Skin Pro Serum, a 30ml full-size product. I have first-hand experience with the serum, usually applying a few drops morning and night to my skin whenever it’s feeling a little bit thirsty. The brand says it is made from a blend of plant-based oils, as well as Vitamin F, Echium Oil, and Vitamin E. A full-size product usually costs £55.

Next up is the Eucerin Sun Face Pigment Control SPF 50, and we all know SPF is essential for summer. This one claims to leave no white cast, even under make-up, and is also said to help tackle pigmentation over time (although I’ve not actually tried this myself).

Another high-end and fairly universal inclusion in the box is the Caudalie Beauty Elixir, a face spritz designed to set makeup and add a glow. The product is a 30ml bottle, which means it fits within hand luggage restrictions, so it can easily be taken with you as part of an in-flight skincare routine. It’s worth £18 full-price.

For hair, the Color Wow Pop and Lock High Gloss Finish is a full-sized product (at 55ml) and worth £22. The brand recommends adding a few drops to the ends of your hair to add shine.

The final full-sized product in the box is the Iconic London Instant Sunshine Bronzing Drops (13ml). Worth £22 when purchased individually, these drops claim to give skin a post-holiday glow.

Finally, there is a 25ml size of the cult favourite Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream. The rich, deliciously scented cream always reminds me of beach holidays, and I’ve found it leaves my skin feeling smooth and firm.
