Lloyds Bank: Halifax and Lloyds app hit by glitch as startement issued | Personal Finance | Finance
Martin Lewis has issued an urgent message to Lloyds and Halifax banking customers after an app “glitch”. The Money Saving Expert said he as received mulitple messages from people stating they had received details of other people’s transactions.
He is calling to the public to come forward to see how widespread this issue may be. Speaking on X, he asked his followers what they have seen and in what app. Importantly, if transactions have been seen, what details have been shown. This can include names and account numbers. One customer reported seeing the details of someone else’s work, school and personal transactions. In response to a customer, Lloyds has issued a statement which said: “We’re sorry that some customers experienced an issue viewing transactions in the app for a short time this morning. The issue was quickly resolved and we’re looking into what happened.” Halifax and Bank of Scotland customer are also reported to be affected.
