Liverpool transfer news as Robertson exit still possible as Wolves star eyed | Football | Sport

The transfer window has fewer than seven days remaining and Liverpool find themselves at the heart of several discussions. Andy Robertson’s future at Anfield remains unclear following the Reds’ negotiations with Tottenham over a potential deal. But what implications does this have for Kostas Tsimikas’ spell at Roma?

Robertson and Ibrahima Konate have both reached the final half-year of their Merseyside contracts. Even once the window closes, they will be permitted to hold discussions with potential suitors to settle their futures for the summer. The club have brought Lewis Koumas back from Birmingham, and where he and other academy talents will spend the remainder of the campaign could yet alter in the forthcoming days. With that in mind, Express Sport looks at the latest Liverpool transfer developments and speculation…

Robertson exit still possible

Roma have acknowledged that conversations have taken place with Liverpool regarding Kostas Tsimikas’ return, and if there is a breakthrough, Andy Robertson could still join Tottenham before the window closes. Robertson had seemed poised to leave with the Reds seeking to strengthen their left-back options before letting him go to Spurs.

Tsimikas is currently midway through a season-long loan arrangement with Italian giants Roma. A director of the Italian outfit, Frederic Massara, confirmed that discussions had taken place. “They are all situations that are evolving, we are in a dialogue with Liverpool and we’ll see how that evolves over the next few days,” Massara said.

If a deal is struck to bring Tsimikas back to Anfield, Robertson could complete a switch to Spurs before the deadline.

Lewis Koumas is nearing a temporary switch to Hull City, following the termination of his loan stint at Birmingham City. The Wales international is eager to secure additional playing time for the remainder of the season.

The Reds believe Hull’s track record of developing young offensive players such as Jaden Philogene, Joe Gelhardt and Liam Delap suggests Koumas will flourish at the MKM Stadium.

Discussions are currently underway and have reached an advanced stage ahead of a probable transfer to Hull before the January window closes.

Reds eye Wolves midfielder

Liverpool could make a move for Wolves midfielder Andre, with several clubs monitoring the 24-year-old’s situation in the Midlands, according to RTI Esporte. Arne Slot‘s team have been previously connected with the Brazilian during his emergence as a potential target whilst at Fluminense.

A relegation to the Championship might force Wolves into a sale with sides from Italy, Turkey, France and England all reportedly interested in Andre. Liverpool have been identified as a club preparing a bid with Wolves demanding at least €30m (£26m).
