Princess Charlotte asked her mum Princess Kate an adorable question today as they rode in a carriage together for Trooping the Colour. The young royal, 10, who coordinated her outfit with her mum, was all smiles at the event as she waved to crowds lining The Mall.

It seems that while Charlotte saw thousands of faces, one in the crowd stood out to the princess, prompting her to ask the Princess of Wales, 43, a sweet three-word question. As reported by The Mirror, professional lip reader Jeremy Freeman saw Charlotte say “who is it?” when asking about someone in the crowd.

While it is not known what Kate replied, the lipreader claimed Charlotte then said “oh brilliant”, before the pair were spotted laughing.

The young royal seemed extremely grown up at the event today, wearing an outfit that perfectly co-ordinated with Princess Kate’s.

This sent royal fans into a frenzy, with many rushing to X to comment on the “iconic duo”.

One fan wrote: “The best mother and daughter duo.”

Another said: “The twinning. I am in love with this color.”

Charlotte also impressed royal fans today by wearing her diamond and pearl horseshoe brooch, which was given to her by the late Queen Elizabeth II.

The brooch is thought to have belonged to the Queen Mother, who was gifted it by Queen Mary in the 1920s.

It was then handed down to Queen Elizabeth II, who decided to give it to Charlotte.

According to jewellery experts, the brooch is estimated to cost £10,000.
