Latest Samsung Galaxy Watch dips under £100 but only for a very limited time
The Samsung Galaxy Watch FE, the latest mid-range smartwatch from Samsung, is currently just £99, a huge 48 percent saving on its RRP of £189.
We’re not sure exactly how long the Galaxy Watch FE will be £99 for as there is no stated end time on the Amazon listing, but the Amazon Spring sale is only running until Monday March 31, so it’s best to act now if you want to take advantage of this particularly great offer.
Getting a current-generation Galaxy Watch for under £100 is unheard of. Released in June 2024, the Galaxy Watch FE is a slightly stripped back version of Samsung’s Android wearable compared to the Galaxy Watch 7, its latest flagship watch, but you really don’t give up much by getting the cheaper version.
The watch is available in black, pink gold or silver colour combos with a 1.2-inch circular AMOLED touchscreen. You can scroll through menus and tap buttons and run your finger around the outer bezel to scroll quickly.
A BioActive Sensor on the bottom sits against your skin to monitor your heart rate 24/7, and on-board GPS means you can track the routes of your runs and cycles, but the WearOS software also provides the ability to track umpteen different sports, all connected to the Samsung Health app on your Android phone.
Though you get full features and functionality with any Samsung phone running Android 11 and above, you can use the Galaxy Watch FE with any Android phone with this version of software or newer.
“As with every Galaxy Watch series, the FE offers seamless connected experiences between Samsung Galaxy devices,” the company said. “Users can quickly and easily locate their phone when disconnected from their Watch with Find My Phone. Remotely control your connected Samsung smartphone camera with Camera Controller to switch mode, change angle or zoom right from the wrist. Galaxy Watch FE supports Samsung Wallet, meaning users can pay for purchases on their smartwatch for a truly all-in-one digital wallet.”
The watch has 16GB storage so you can download tracks from Spotify for offline use. You can connect any Bluetooth headphones or earbuds to the watch and go on a music-filled run without needing to bring your phone. You also get IP68 full dust and water resistance, so you can also wear it in the shower and track your swims.
Best of all, you don’t need to have an Amazon Prime subscription to get this special £99 price, as the Spring Deal Days don’t require one, unlike the Amazon Prime Day sales we expect to see later in the year.
