Last-ditch appeal for EuroMillions winner who has just hours to claim | UK | News
The owner of a winning EuroMillions ticket has now only hours to claim the prize as the final deadline approaches. The National Lottery is urging players to double-check their tickets as they could claim the £1 million prize.
The owner of the unclaimed ticket has until midnight on Wednesday to come forward. The National Lottery also said the winning EuroMillions Millionaire Maker ticket was bought in Birmingham for the draw on August 15, 2025. All those in the city around that date and purchased a ticket are now urged to look for the winning code, which is VLPL 28287, with the draw number 1868. Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at Allwyn, the operator of The National Lottery, said: ”Were you in or around Birmingham in the week leading up to the August 15 draw? Maybe it isn’t even a local winner – did you visit the area for the day and play EuroMillions – did you return home and stash it somewhere safe?
“I want nothing more than to unite the winner with their prize money. Tell your friends, check your pockets, check your tickets, as it could be you.”
The UK Millionaire Maker game gives UK players of EuroMillions the chance to win an additional prize of £1 million in every EuroMillions draw.
The National Lottery Commission changed the name of the game from ‘Millionaire Raffle’ to ‘UK Millionaire Maker’ in October 2014 as part of larger changes to the structure of the game.
There have been a couple of occasions when 100 players have received £1 million.

If no one comes forward to claim the prize by the deadline, the prize will go to help National Lottery-funded projects across the UK.
Players have 180 days from the day of the draw to claim their prize if they have the winning ticket across all National Lottery draws.
