Jet2 issues major flight update for July, August and September | Travel News | Travel
Jet2 has made a major change to its routes ahead of peak summer holiday season. The budget airline is expanding its flight offering in July, August and September.
The carrier decided to make the change following high demands from passengers. Jet2 will now offer even more flights to Greece from Birmingham Airport this summer. The airline has put on extra seats to Crete and Santorini between July and September this year.
It now makes Jet2 the biggest operator to Greece from the midland’s airport. The sunny Greek islands are facing huge popularity from British holidaymakers.
Jet2 say its decision will mean Brits can have “even more choice and flexibility” when heading to the holiday hotspot. They fly to 15 Greek destinations from Birmingham Airport.
These include Athens, Corfu, Crete (Chania), Crete (Heraklion), Kalamata, Kefalonia, Kos, Lesvos (Mytilene), Preveza, Rhodes, Samos, Santorini, Skiathos, Thessaloniki (Halkidiki) and Zante.
Now, it means Jet2 is offering over 2.5million seats from Birmingham Aiport this summer across 62 routes. Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “Greece is an enormously popular destination, and it continues to appeal to customers and independent travel agents looking to enjoy some much-needed sunshine.
“As the UK’s favourite airline and tour operator, we know just how much holidaymakers love these Greek destinations, and we are delighted to be once again stepping in to meet demand.
“We have an unrivalled programme on sale to Greece for Summer 26 from Birmingham Airport and are now expanding that to give customers and independent travel agents even more choice and flexibility with the addition of extra flights to Crete (Chania) and Santorini.”
