Jet2 ‘at least 12 hours before flight’ alert to passengers | Travel News | Travel

Jet2 has issued an alert to all passengers, advising them to check the “latest travel information” section of their website “at least 12 hours before your flight”. As the UK’s largest package holiday provider and third biggest airline, millions are expected to fly with Jet2 this year.

The company advises: “Please check this section of the website at least 12 hours before your flight for the latest flight information. Further information can be found by using the [above] search panel by entering your flight number or route.

“We recommend arriving at the airport at least 2 hours before your scheduled departure time. Please remember – check in desks close 40 minutes before this.

“In the event of flight disruption our dedicated Operations teams are working hard behind the scenes at our UK-based HQ to get you on your way as soon as possible.”

Jet2 operates from several airports across the UK including Liverpool John Lennon Airport, Manchester Airport, Glasgow Airport, Edinburgh Airport, Newcastle Airport, Leeds Bradford Airport, East Midlands Airport, Birmingham Airport, London Luton, London Stansted, Bristol Airport, and Bournemouth.

The airline flies to more than 75 destinations across Europe and, on Wednesday, Jet2 confirmed it had added more “free child place” holidays across the summer season.

Jet2 said that free child places are now available on every flight departing during the school holidays, but “once they’re gone, they’re gone”. The travel provider continued: “The additions are on top of the Free Child Place holidays that are already available across all Jet2holidays.

“As a result, this means that Jet2holidays has more Free Child Place holidays available than ever.”
