While numerous supporters will be enthused by Tudor’s arrival, given his track record not only with the Old Lady but also at Lazio, Galatasaray and PAOK, Gazetta suggest he’s not a boss that ever sticks around. A report from the publication described Tudor as “the perfect substitute teacher who never managed to find the right job to become a professor,” considering his history of spending mere months with clubs before departing.

For context, Tudor remained with PAOK for under 12 months between 2015 and 2016 before the club issued a damning verdict on him whilst confirming his exit.

Meanwhile, numerous outbursts during press conferences throughout his recent tenure with Juventus proved especially troublesome. Had Tudor harboured any long-term ambitions at the club, the manner in which he conducted himself would undoubtedly have said otherwise.

Meanwhile, according to Italian football journalist Daniele Verri, Damien Commoli’s appointment as general manager of the club may have triggered Tudor’s departure. Verri told BBC Sport: “Commoli and Tudor never really got on.

“Tudor wanted more say during the transfer market, he wanted [Randal] Kolo Muani to stay and that didn’t happen. He kept changing the starting XI and that brought uncertainty. Tension grew. Tudor criticised what Juventus did in the market during press conferences, and openly criticised the players after the Lazio defeat before he was sacked.

“After a relatively good start, he lost control of the team and they stopped performing. The fans were obviously not happy, they are used to winning. Juventus never really had the impression they could take the next step with Tudor.”

The reporter also suggests that Tottenham supporters can anticipate intense pressing and expansive wing play from the 47-year-old, while Gianluca di Marzio notes that Tudor has consistently delivered when appointed mid-season to reverse fortunes.
