Hot weather maps show exact date 30C scorcher returns to England | Weather | News

Brits will enjoy a late summer scorcher this week as 30C heat is set to blast the east of England. The south east will be at the heart of it, with the maximum temperature felt in Norfolk around Norwich.

Temperatures are not set to dip below 25C along the east coast, meaning Brits living in Kent up to East Yorkshire will enjoy a late summer’s day on Sunday, September 7, according to weather maps by WXCharts. Even as you move further inland, places like Leicester, Northampton, and Derbyshire have been forecast temperatures above 25C. It dips slightly as you move to the west of England, however, Brits will enjoy heat above 20C in the west as far north as Blackpool.

Weather maps have predicted a 5C difference between Manchester and Lincolnshire, with 22C compared to a scorching 27C in Grimsby, giving them more reason to celebrate than the football.

As you move further north up to Newcastle, temperatures peak at around 22C, although in the west in Cumbria, it drops to about 17C. Parts of East Yorkshire around Hull could peak at 27C.

Along the south coast, the sea breeze will make it slightly cooler, although it is also not set to drop below 20C, except for on the peninsula in Cornwall.

The Met Office‘s long-range forecast from Friday, September 5, to Sunday, September 14, predicts spells of showers due to low pressure, although temperatures could rise during dry periods. Some heavy rain is also expected, mostly in the west, as well as possible thunderstorms.

It said: “Some short-lived spells of drier and more settled weather are also possible at times, especially early and again late in the period, when they may last a little longer.

“Temperatures will likely be close to average or slightly below overall, but may rise above at times in any drier, sunnier spells.”
