Four people will appear in court after being charged with murder in South Wales.
Three men aged 18, 24 and 26 and a 24-year-old woman were remanded into custody over the death of 17-year-old Tristan Shae Kerr. The four people will appear at Newport Magistrates’ Court on Monday, February 9, Gwent Police said.
Tristan was pronounced dead at a property in the 5,500-population village in Caerphilly, South Wales after police were called to the scene at about 5.45pm on Thursday, February 5.
A 28-year-old woman from Hereford, who was arrested on Friday, February 6 on suspicion of assisting an offender, was released under investigation, police said.
Tristan played for Senghenydd Saints RFC. The club described the teenager as: “A cheeky chap around the club, with an infectious smile and personality to boot.”
The club added that he will be “sorely missed.”
Detective Chief Inspector Jitka Tomkova-Griffiths asked people not to speculate about the identities of those involved.
“We understand that there has been a great deal of interest in this investigation,” Detective Tomkova-Griffith.
