Fortnite Doom 2099 skin release date, time and item shop bundle and prices | Gaming | Entertainment

Doctor Doom is once again returning to Fortnite, only this time in a futuristic new form.

According to an Epic Games post on social media, the Doom 2099 skin has been given a December 9 release date in Fortnite.

US players can grab the new skin when the item shop updates at 8pm ET on December 9, while UK fans can purchase the bundle at 1am GMT on December 10.

You can see the skin in the image above and the items in the tweet further down the page.

The news was announced by Epic Games on X: “A Rival in all realities…be prepared for his arrival 12.9.2024.”

As you can probably tell from the tweet above, the Doctor Doom variant is a crossover with newly launched hero shooter Marvel Rivals.

Doom 2099 is the main antagonist of Marvel Rivals, although he’s not actually a playable character. He’s likely to join the game as a playable character in a future season.

In the meantime, if you do want to play as Doom 2099, you’ll have to purchase his skin in Fortnite.

The skin will be joined by the 2099 Cape (Backpack), the Rivalled Sailer Glider, and the Galacta Staff Harvesting tool. Expect the bundle to cost around 2,000 V-Bucks.

Daily Express will update this article with prices and any other items when they inevitably leak in the lead up to launch.

The announcement of the Doom 2099 skin marks the start of a busy week in Fortnite.

Just days after the release of Fortnite OG Season 1, Epic Games is getting ready to launch another new game mode in the coming days.

Fortnite Ballistic is a new first-person shooter mode featuring 5v5 battles with ranked and unranked modes.

Described as a tactical game mode where teamwork is key, it will launch with the Skyline 10 map.

Epic explains more: “Ballistic is launching with the Skyline 10 map, a starting set of weapons, and a limited number of items. Adjustments will be made beyond launch based on player feedback, in addition to major updates such as new maps, weapons, and features.”

The game is a no-build mode where all presets from your Locker will carry over. It supports existing skins and items, except for Pickaxes, Contrails, Instruments, Vehicles and Jam Tracks.
