Europe’s biggest spa that’s £30 flight from UK | Travel News | Travel

A traveller has shared her advice for those looking to unwind at Europe’s largest spa. Therme București is located a mere £30 flight from the UK.

Nestled just north of Bucharest in Romania, this sprawling wellness centre features a botanical garden, indoor and outdoor pools, water slides, an array of saunas, mineral-rich pools, tranquil relaxation zones, and an extensive menu of spa treatments.

With its proximity and affordability from the UK, it’s an ideal spot for a rejuvenating weekend retreat. The spa has garnered a slate of five-star ratings on TripAdvisor, with guests comparing it to a “tropical paradise”.

Curious about the buzz, Brit tourist Lorella took to TikTok to share her visit, insisting that the spa is a must-visit destination for anyone and everyone. Because of this, she offered some practical guidance to enhance the experience for potential visitors.

“Do not go to Europe’s largest spa without knowing all of these things first,” she said at the start of her video before delving into the details of her trip.

“Flights from the UK are around £30 and entry to all three areas of the spa is also around £30,” she shared, noting the importance of timing, “It gets busy very, very quickly, so if you’re only able to come here on the weekend, just make sure you get here for when it opens.”

Lorella went on to share her strategy: “We did this and we had no issues with getting a sunbed. But within about an hour, there was none available.” However, she recommended visiting on a weekday to avoid the crowds if possible.

“For an extra fee, you can book in a massage, but you need to book it the second you get there,” she said, stressing the urgency of securing a massage slot upon arrival as pre-booking is not an option.

Lorella then recommended grabbing a spa map and the day’s schedule for additional activities to navigate easily and plan your visit effectively.

“There are some things you do need to pay extra for, for example this water bed,” she noted, adding that it’s entirely optional. “But everything else is more or less included in your ticket price.”

She showcased the spa’s extensive food court where guests can indulge in unlimited pizza, pasta, sushi, and salads. Visitors receive a wristband which acts as a cashless payment method, with the total bill presented upon departure.

Continuing her tour, Lorella highlighted the family-friendly waterslide area, separate from the main spa facilities. She also mentioned that the spa is divided into three sections, offering flexible entry options depending on which areas guests choose to access.

“But my biggest tip if you can is to stay for the evening, cause it kinda turns into a bit of a nightclub vibe and it’s just immaculate vibes,” she enthused.

“It’s also a super quick drive from the airport, so if you wanted to do this in a day trip, it’s definitely doable,” she said.
