Epstein spent Thanksgiving with Trump during presidency, email says | US | News

Jeffery Epstein spent Thanksgiving with Donald Trump while he was president in 2017, newly released emails claim. Emails were released by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee which appeared to reveal new insights about Epstein and Trump’s relationship.

This was followed by the release of 20,000 documents, including private emails between Epstein and his associates due to a congressional subpoena served on the Republic led committee. It is in these emails that it appears Trump is mentioned by Epstein in relation to Thanksgiving celebrations. The Express has not independently verified claims made in the emails.

All quotes from the emails are published exactly how they are written without correcting grammar or punctuation.

Epstein claimed that he was spending Thanksgiving in 2017 with Trump when he was emailing Manhattan modelling manager Faith Kates on November 23, 2017. Faith asked Epstein where he was spending Thanksgiving, to which he replied “eva”, likely referring to his former girlfriend Eva Andersson-Dubin, who would later testify at Ghislaine Maxwell’s sex-trafficking trial in late 2021.

Kates then mentions Andersson-Dubin husband Glenn Dublin by name and then asks “who else is down there” to which Epstein replied “david fizel. hanson. trump.”

According to White House records, Trump spent 2017 Thanksgiving at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach. The guestlist was not published.

Another newly released email chain see Epstein joke about Trump’s mental stability, saying he was “borderline insane” on December 22, 2018 when writing to former Treasury Security Larry Summers, who replied, “Will Trump crack into sanity?”

Epstein then said that this was “not a new phenomenon” for Trump, adding “in the past he was told not to come out of his apt. thats how he got through near personal bankruptcy”. Summers declined to comment to the New York Times who wrote an in depth story his emails with Epstein.

In an email chain with Ghislaine Maxwell, widely reported yesterday, Epstein accuses Trump of spending “hours” at his estate with a person identified as one of Epstein’s victims. The victim’s name was redacted.

In messages sent to Maxwell and author Michael Wolff, Epstein suggested that Trump “knew about the girls.” Messages from Epstein added: “I want you to realize that that dog that hasn’t barked is trump,” Epstein wrote to Maxwell in 2011. “[Victim] spent hours at my house with him, he has never once been mentioned.”

It is unclear what exactly these statements are referring to.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said on Wednesday (November 12), “These emails prove absolutely nothing other than the fact that President Trump did nothing wrong.”
