Epstein sounded ‘dementia’ alarm over Trump as President ‘couldn’t recognise friends’ | World | News

Jeffrey Epstein claimed people were “concerned about dementia” when they met Donald Trump in 2017 because he “couldn’t recognise old friends, an Epstein Files email suggests. Dated December 29, 2017, the email also alleges that Trump was wearing “tons of makeup.”

It was sent during his first term as president of the United States. The message was part of a conversation between Epstein and journalist Michael Wolff, a columnist and contributor to USA Today and The Hollywood Reporter. The full email sent by the convicted sex offender said: “Some at dinner wtih donald last night, were concerned about dementia. tons of makeup. did not recognize old friends”.

It comes after the US Department of Justice released millions of files related to the late child sex offender, the largest government disclosure since legislation passed last year required the documents to be made public.

The email exchange has the potential to reignite concerns about the US president’s health and suggests he may have been experiencing health issues for some time.

Rumours of Trump’s declining health have been rampant in recent months, from a strange bruise appearing on his hand every few months, falling asleep in meetings and slips of his memory.

When Trump was inaugurated for his second term, he became the oldest president to ever be elected.

The president has constantly and passionately denied any claims that he is in anything but tip-top shape, even releasing the results of a medical exam and MRI test, claiming he had “as good a result as they’ve ever seen.”

After a New York Times article looked into his health, Trump posted a furious reply online: “After all of the work I have done with Medical Exams, Cognitive Exams, and everything else, I actually believe it’s seditious, perhaps even treasonous, for The New York Times, and others, to consistently do FAKE reports in order to libel and demean ‘THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.”
