Drivers urged to spend £15 at Asda from December 1

Drivers across the UK are being urged to spend £15 in an Asda Express store from December 1 to cash in on a winter scheme.

The supermarket chain is rolling out a new money-saving offer on fuel across its Express stores for a limited period. From Monday, December 1 until Wednesday, December 31, drivers who spend £15 or more on groceries in an Asda Express store will get 3p off per litre of fuel at the same time. Asda has almost 500 Express stores across the UK and is giving customers the chance to cut costs at the pump during the festive season while picking up their everyday essentials.

To claim the fuel discount, customers simply need to spend £15 or more inside an Asda Express store between now and December 31, before paying for their fuel and shopping at the till.

Asda said its Express stores already match prices on certain everyday essential items, including bread, milk, chicken fillets, beef mince, cheese and some fresh fruit and vegetables, with its larger supermarkets.

As such, the retailer said customers can still get the same value they’d expect from a bigger Asda store while also taking advantage of exclusive Express store deals.

These include two for £6 on ready meals and pizza, bread, pasta and sauce on three for £5, premium meal deals for £4.92 and three for two on RTC drinks and wine minis.

Joseph Sutton, vice president Asda Express, foodservice and fuel, said: “We know every penny matters for our customers.

“This offer gives people a little extra help – letting them save on fuel while offering unbeatable value as they stock up on everyday essentials or festive treats in the run-up to Christmas.”

Asda recently announced it will open up to 20 new Express stores before the end of the year as part of its convenience store opening programme.

The most recent of these new stores opened on Wednesday, November 26, in Liverpool, marking the retailer’s first store within the centre of the city.
