It appears that the president-elect’s attempts to provide the public with a glimpse into Barron’s life date back to 2007, when Barron was only two years old. In the video, originally shared on TikTok by Daily Mail, the Republican can be heard describing Barron as “violent, vicious, and tough” while introducing his toddler to the world during a press stop in New York.

The future head-of-state declares: “That’s Barron… He’s strong, he’s smart, he’s tough, he’s vicious, he’s violent. All of the ingredients you need to be an entrepreneur. And most importantly, hopefully, he is smart because smart is really the ingredient.

“So, Barron, good luck. You have a long way to go,” he remarks as the toddler reaches for the microphone before him.

A playful tussle follows as young Barron seizes the mic, leading Trump to quip to the audience: “Uh, oh, he won’t give up the mic”.

The crowd laughs and Trump plants a kiss on the boy before returning him to Melania.

Meanwhile within the family, Lara Trump is rumoured to be assuming a crucial new position in the family enterprise.

As Trump selected his Cabinet this week, role reshuffling has continued with Republicans vying for senior positions.

Previously a television producer, Lara Trump was named co-chair of the Republican National Committee.

She is even reportedly set to become Trump’s ‘right-hand woman’ during this presidency, following Ivanka’s withdrawal.
