Hugely ambitious action-adventure game Crimson Desert is about to make its debut on PlayStation, Xbox and PC. Such is the size and scope of the release that the open-world fantasy game could be one of this year’s biggest hits outside of GTA 6. And gaming fans are just hours away from seeing whether it lives up to the hype, as Crimson Desert has a March 19 release date on all platforms.
The only bad news is that instead of launching at midnight local time, some fans will have to stay up late in order to enjoy Crimson Desert the moment it goes live.
That’s because Crimson Desert has a 10pm GMT release time for fans living in the UK. It’s better news for US fans, who can start playing at 3pm PT / 6pm ET depending on your location. European fans, on the other hand, will have to wait until 11pm CET.
If you’ve already pre-ordered the game ahead of launch, then it’s worth pre-loading the game early.
The game has an 85GB file size on PS5 and a 120GB file size on Xbox, so it could take a while to download. There’s also a chance a day-one patch could be released.
Speaking of pre-orders, fans can pick up the standard edition for £54.99 or a Deluxe Edition for £64.99.
The Deluxe Edition comes with a variety of bonus items, including an armour set and a shield.
If you want to save some money, it might be worth picking up a physical copy from select retailers.
