Coastguard issues warning to sunseekers over ‘very deep hole’ on UK beach | UK | News
Coastguards in Suffolk have warned beachgoers to stay away from a deep hole that recently appeared on the coast.
The 12-foot-deep (3.7m) hole was found near the Cliff Road car park in Felixstowe, Suffolk.
Sharing Facebook images of it on Saturday, Felixstowe Coastguard Rescue Team warned rising tides would make the hole difficult to exit.
The area is continually changing with the tide and winds and the team will be assessing the situation throughout the next few months.
In the post, they added if you see anybody in trouble in this area, along the beach, mud or rivers dial 999 and ask for the coastguard.
