Change how you watch TV and get Sky for ‘lowest’ ever price
Paying too much for your TV and broadband? Sky might have just what you are looking for, thanks to a new deal that’s just launched. The telly firm has just announced that its ‘lowest’ price is back, with those signing up getting access to a swathe of premium channels, Netflix, Discovery+ and speedy 300Mbps broadband for just £39 per month. Considering most internet service providers charge around £30 for 300Mbps speeds, this looks like a pretty solid offer from Sky.
The Ultimate TV & 300Mbps Full Fibre Broadband bundle comes with over 130 channels, and there’s another bonus as this package will soon also include Disney+, HBO Max and Hayu access as well, making it look even more attractive.
To get this offer, homes simply need to move away from aerials and dishes and switch to streaming instead. That’s because this deal comes with a Sky Stream box, which uses the web to beam content to TVs. Sky Stream is one of the firm’s new breed of set top boxes and offers DIY installation along with features such as personalised recommendations, full TV guide and Playlists section for recordings. Of course, as with all deals, there are some things to note. Firstly, prices will rise during the term, and you must be willing to sign a two-year contract.
Sky also says its 300Mbps speeds are only available in around 60 per cent of UK homes, so it’s worth checking what download speeds are likely in your street before signing on the dotted line.
It’s not just Sky offering low prices. Virgin Media has also launched a sale, which it claims gives customers access at the ‘lowest ever’ prices.
Right now, you can grab Virgin’s Sport bundle, which includes over 200 channels plus Sky Sports and 512 Mbps broadband for just £52.99 per month.
There’s also the Cinema bundle, which offers 200 channels plus movies and 362Mbps internet access for £42.99 per month.
Finally, there’s the ultimate Sport + Cinema option, which gets all channels plus 516Mbps speeds for £64.99.
Virgin says there will be no price hikes in 2026, although customers will pay more from April 2027.
