Brit says ’10 out of 10′ during hunt for best fish and chips in Benidorm | Travel News | Travel

While a plate of fish and chips may be the iconic dish for those in the UK, some Brits have gone on the hunt for the iconic meal abroad to give them a taste of home. One such Brit is TikTokker Harry Tokky, who has made it his mission to find the best fish and chips available in the popular holiday resort of Benidorm.

Last year, a total of over 2.8 million holidaymakers descended on the world-renowned holiday resort, a 2.9% increase on the previous year, with the trend expected to continue this year. Of this figure, a staggering 900,000 Brits visited, who may also end up craving the best fish and chips outside the UK. In a TikTok titled “Hotel Moli… could this be the one?”, Harry headed to the Hotel Moli to sample its “Fishy Friday” offering, a hotel located in the quaint village of Alfaz Del Pi, just under 2.5 miles from the Mediterranean Sea and close to several blue-flag beaches.

Currently available for €12.99 (£11.20), Harry said before trying the dish he had a good feeling about the restaurant.

Once the plate arrived, Harry said: “Doesn’t this look amazing? […] These chips look fantastic and the fish looks really good, nicely battered”. The fish and chips were served alongside a bowl of mushy peas and even some gerkins.

“It’s tasty, really tasty,” he said after taking the first bite. “For €12.99 you can’t go wrong. So if you guys are coming out [to Benidorm], check out the Hotel Moli as this place is absolutely fantastic and, to be honest, the chips, the fish, were 10 out of 10″.

Benidorm has become renowned as a popular destination for Brits thanks to its affordable prices and vibrant nightlife. What’s more, it has a large number of British-style pubs, restaurants, and shops with English-speaking staff, meaning British holidaymakers need not worry about a language barrier while enjoying a much warmer climate.

Since Benidorm is a coastal city, seafood is very much on the menu and there are a whole host of cafés and restaurants that take advantage of the area’s freshest hauls.
