One of this year’s biggest releases and undoubtedly the highest-profile PS5 exclusives has finally been given a release date.

Developed by Insomniac Games, Marvel’s Wolverine will be available exclusively for PlayStation 5 users from September 15, 2026.

The September launch ensures Marvel’s Wolvering avoids clashing with GTA 6, which has a November 19 release date.

Perhaps surprisingly, the release date wasn’t announced during the recent State of Play event.

Instead, Sony put out a tweet confirming the news, alongside confirmation that fans can wishlist the game today.

Sadly, however, there’s still no option to pre-order, so it’s unclear how much the game will cost, although £69.99 seems like a safe bet.

Marvel’s Wolverine follows the titular hero as he searches for answers about his past.

A recent gameplay trailer showcased the game’s brutal combat, which is extremely bloody and gory.

Wolverine is seen battling in various different locations, including urban cities and snowy mountains.

There are also a couple of motorbike sections, which suggests Wolverine will be able to freely explore on wheels.

If it’s anything like Marvel’s Spider-Man, then fans can expect something pretty special when the game launches in September.

“As he searches for answers about his past, Wolverine will do whatever it takes – unleashing brutal claw combat, violent rage, and relentless determination – to cut through the mystery of the man he used to be,” reads the official description.
