Asda sending customers code for £20 to spend before February | Personal Finance | Finance
Asda is sending customers a voucher code for £20 to spend if they register a new online account and place an order before February.
The supermarket chain is running a limited-time deal that rewards new online shoppers with money off their food shop when they make a minimum £60 spend. If you’re a new Asda online grocery customer, you can earn a voucher reward when you spend £60 or more across four separate shops, giving you savings of up to £55 in total. To get the deal, shoppers simply need to register online at Asda and opt in to marketing.
Once you’ve registered, Asda will then email you a unique code for £20 off within two hours, and this must then be used on your first online food shop by 11.59pm on Saturday, January 31.
According to MoneySavingExpert (MSE), the deal is limited to the first 23,000 customers who use their code, so the deal could end sooner than this.
To get further money off, you’ll receive an e-voucher from Asda by email the day after each order is delivered or collected, and each code will expire two weeks from the date it’s sent.
To earn up to £55 off your Asda food shop, shoppers must spend a minimum of £60 online and will earn an e-voucher each time at the following values:
- £20 voucher off your first £60 or more shop
- £10 voucher off your second £60 or more shop
- £10 voucher off your third £60 or more shop
- £15 off your fourth £60 or more shop
The discount codes only apply to each separate order, so if you do all four food shops, this amounts to £55 a total spend of £240 or more.
However, you could just do the initial £60 shop to get a £20 voucher code and leave it at that if you don’t want to do all four.
Asda said: “New customers save £55 on your first four orders. Simply register a new account and opt in to marketing. We’ll then email your unique eVoucher code within two hours for your first order. Following eVouchers will be emailed to you the day after your order is delivered or collected.
“£20 off first order, £10 off second order, £10 off third order and £15 of fourth order.”
There are some items that are excluded from the first order and won’t count towards the minimum £60 spend. These include alcohol, tobacco, e-cigarettes, gift cards, infant formula and stamps.
This also applies for at least £10 of the second and third orders, and at least £15 of the fourth order. George.com purchases are also excluded.
