Amazon buyer boasts ‘excellent’ electric razor gave ‘best shave for years’
Finding the right grooming tool can make a big difference to a daily routine, especially when it comes to speed. Many can spend years searching for something that delivers a close, reliable shave paired with ease of use.
Now, shoppers can grab the Remington R6 Aqua Men’s Electric Shaver for £38.20 on Amazon, down from £44.95, saving them 15% on their purchase. This shaver is fully waterproof, according to the brand, making it suitable for use with wet-shave foams or gels. It can also be used in the shower, saving time on busy mornings.
For those who prefer a more relaxed look, it includes a ‘Stubble Styler’ accessory, allowing users to sculpt their own three-day stubble effect rather than opting for a close shave. A pop-up Comfort Trim detailer is additionally built into the design, making it straightforward to tidy up sideburns or remove those stray hairs.
The shaver offers up to 60 minutes of cordless use on a full charge, Remington says, with a 5-minute quick charge option for when power is needed fast. LED indicators show the battery level clearly, so shoppers know exactly when it’s time to recharge.
For an alternative, there is the Braun Series 3 Rechargebale Electric Foil Shaver for £60 from Argos which comes with three pressure-sensitive shaving elements which are said on the website to adapt perfectly to every facial contour and shave in intuitive straight lines. Another is the Philips Wet & Dry Electric Shaver Series 3000 for £119.99 from Boots which can be used wet or dry, has one hour use from a 60 minute charge and are said to even be ideal for sensitive skin.
The Remington Electric Shaver has a high 4.2 out of 5 star rating on Amazon from over 2000 reviews. One person said: “Excellent, best shave I’ve had for years. Comfortable to hold and use. Great purchase, good price.”
A second wrote: “I thought I would review this shaver after a month or so of using it. I have swapped between electric razors and wet shave razors throughout my shaving life. So after getting frustrated with the cost of replacement wet shave razor blades I decided to try the electric once more. Having paid £45 for the Remington R6 I know I would recoup this amout within a year if I continued to purchase wet shave blades. The shaver arrived and I liked the feel of it straight away. I decided to use shaving cream with the razor as sometimes the shave can leave me with irritated skin at first without it. The shave was excellent and has been since. It is almost on a par with the wet shave razor. I continue to use shaving cream with the razor and I am happy with my daily shave. I would recommend this particular make and model as I feel it offers not only value for money but also a decent close shave.”
A third reviewer said: “Bought this as a back up razor to my more expensive other brand. Only been using it for a month but so far it seems perfectly fit for purpose. I like the way it is recharged by USB cable and the battery lasts for about a week and a half on daily use. The three green leds are very clear but I would have preferred the last one to flash red when you are on last knockings as my other razor does. But I bought it primarily for its wet and dry capabilities and here it performs well. It appears to be completely watertight, allowing full use in the shower.”
Some disagreed, and one shopper wrote: “Does work well, but not as good as my older Braun which I am still using.” Another said: “My only problem with this product is that it is quite hard on sensitive skin areas like the neck. But mostly quiet and efficient.”
