Alexander Zverev and girlfriend dismiss rumours of Beckham’s son’s ex | Tennis | Sport
The presence of German model Caroline Daur for some Zverev’s matches in Melbourne only furthered suggestions he and Thomalla were no longer an item. Instead, it was claimed that Daur, who is a rumoured ex-girlfriend of Romeo Beckham, and Zverev were now dating.
Daur and Beckham had been captured several times together last year which saw claims made they were dating following the 22-year-old ending his relantionship with Kim Turnbull in late 2024. However, that was said to not be the case which almost directly resulted in rumours starting that Daur and Zverev were an item.
But that has since also been dismissed as the truth with Zverev arriving to the Miami Open alongside Thomalla and their Dachshund Mishka. Last week, the official Instagram account for the dog has captioned a social media post: “Me and my two full-time employees [sun glasses emoji].”
Thomalla has since been spotted watching his Miami Open matches with the Instagram upload further seeming to prove they are still together. Thomalla was also in attendance for his run to the final four of Indian Wells where he lost to eventual champion Jannik Sinner.
The German is preparing for another semi-final today (Friday) as he again takes on Sinner, looking to avenge his defeat earlier this year and stop the world No1 from completeing the Sunshine Double. It has been a decent few months for Zverev and he spoke about his fresh approach to the sport ahead of the Miami Open.
He said in a press conference: “A lot of players want to be aggressive, but it’s not easy to apply this kind of tactic. I’m trying to adopt a different game starting this year and I’m aware that it’s a long process, which requires patience,” he said.
“I’m managing to be more aggressive at certain times, but I still need time and I can’t be effective all the time. I am willing to accept some losses because I am confident about this path. I’m sure it’s the right thing to do at this stage of my career.”
